The TU Side has accepted the pay offer and are working with the employers to get it in members’ pay packets as a matter of urgency !
The NJC TU Side Joint Secretaries met on 1 November. GMB reported that their decision was not to take industrial action and to move to settle 2023 pay and get the money to members as soon as possible; UNISON reiterated that that remains our position. As this provided a majority of UNISON plus one other union, Unite accepted that this must be the TU Side’s position.
UNISON has written to the Employers’ Side on behalf of the TU Side, accepting the pay offer and a joint circular has been sent to the employers to inform them that they now need to implement the pay increase.
